MSEDA Dressage at KHP
Friday September 9th, 10th and 11th.
Open Show. Many Pony Cup Competitors use the Friday Show as a "warm up" for the Pony Cup.
Horses, Ponies are all welcome to participate in this show!
Ridden Dressage Classes
Saturday September 10th and Sunday September 11th

National Dressage Pony Cup Rules
for Ridden Dressage Classes
  • Ponies must have a current measurement card to participate in the ridden dressage classes competed on Saturday and Sunday.
  • Ponies without measurement cards, will be assigned a measurement time before competition.
  • Ponies may compete in more than one level.
  • Ponies may compete with more than one Rider.
  • Each Rider/Pony combination Intro. through 4th level must ride a specified test, each day of the competition, at the level they are competing in to qualify for prizes.
  • Introductory Level Test 1, on Saturday and Test 2, on Sunday.
  • Training Level Test 1, on Saturday and Test 3, on Sunday.
  • First Level Test 1, on Saturday and Test 3, on Sunday.
  • Second Level Test 1, on Saturday and Test 3, on Sunday.
  • Third Level Test 1, on Saturday and Test 3, on Sunday.
  • Fourth Level Test 1, on Saturday and Test 3, on Sunday.
  • FEI Pony Test competitors will be required to ride the Team Test on Saturday and the Individual Test on Sunday to qualify for prizes.
  • FEI- PSG, I1, I2, and GP competitors may ride their TOC each day of the competition to qualify for prizes. Must be consecutive Levels.
  • Musical Freestyle Tests may be ridden on Friday ,Saturday ,or Sunday as scheduling permits. Only one freestyle test is necessary to qualify for prizes. Competitors must meet USDF qualifications.
  • Separate entry forms are required for each Rider/Pony combination.
  • Whips are allowed in the tests, except for FEI Level.
  • The tests may be ridden from memory or with a test reader, except FEI Level. 
  • Scores from Saturday and Sundays'  tests are averaged.
  • To level the playing field for High Point Awards only; The "Pony Cup", with the help of our show secretary, will assign upon the completion of both tests, a 2 point advantage per level of the averaged score, to determine the winning score for "High Point Rider Awards", and "High Point Breed Awards".
  • Intoductory Level will be figured as scored.
  • Training Level will add 2 points to averaged scores.
  • 1st Level will add 4 points to averaged scores.
  • 2nd Level will add 6 points to averaged scores.
  • 3rd Level will add 8 points to averaged scores.
  • 4th Level will add 10 points to averaged scores.
  • FEI tests of choice 12 points to averaged scores.
  • FEI Pony Test, being equivalent to 2nd Level will add 6 points to scores.The National Dressage Pony Cup follows USDF official regulations regarding the FEI Pony Test. Only Junior Riders ages 12-16 are eligible to compete.
